Hyperbaric Chamber Therapy

What is Hyperbaric Therapy?

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is the medical use of oxygen in a pressurized environment. Increased pressure allows for oxygen to dissolve and saturate the blood plasma, which yields a broad variety of positive physiological, biochemical and cellular effects.

HBOT has been demonstrated in several clinical studies to enhance the body’s innate ability to repair and regenerate. It is used as an adjunct therapy to complement and enhance the healing process in both chronic and acute conditions.

Benefits of HBOT

  • Improves Tissue and wound healing
  • Anti-aging-increases telomere length
  • Boosts immune system
  • Reduces inflammation
  • Increases blood circulation
  • Improves athletic performance and recovery
  • Increases energy
  • Reduces muscle soreness
  • Detoxifies the body
  • Improves brain function
  • Helps with weight loss

Who should not do HBOT?

Patients with head colds that can not clear their ears should not use the hyperbaric chamber. Although there is space in the chamber, those who are claustrophobic should use caution when planning to use the chamber.  Patients should not use the chamber under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or pain medication.

What you need to remember prior to using the HBOT:

  • Please eat and drink prior to your treatment
  • Use the restroom before getting into the chamber
  • Wear comfortable clothing in the chamber
  • Do not wear stockings, shoes, or jewelry
  • You may bring your phone or Ipad inside
  • You may sleep during your treatment
